First Steps' Family Advisory Council works with the Program Committee of the Board of Directors to help ensure First Steps' programs and services are mission driven, cost effective and responsive to you and your child's needs, as well as the needs of the community. It serves as a resource for making recommendations for the betterment of the agency and developing plans to implement these recommendations.

The more you learn about the programs, services and goals for your child, the more you can extend and reinforce learning and development at home. Our teachers feel more effective when you share insights about your child and contribute to the program by donating your time and resources to enrich the curriculum. Your child benefits the most when the significant adults in their lives are working together to give them the support and guidance they need to grow and develop. Trust is more easily established when children see that their worlds are closely linked.

First Steps producing a Family Newsletter each month that highlights the activites and events at the Center and throughout our community.  Also, we include information from our Nurse, Executive Director and others.
